Camp Information
Special Activities
A weekly activities calendar will be provided listing dates, times, and locations of our special trips and activities to keep parents up-to-date. Please keep these activities in mind when preparing your camper for the day. Also, please be sure to promptly arrive at the school before campers are meant to leave for the day's activities. School work will be done daily, Monday through Thursday, at the Hampton Main Library (4207 Victoria Blvd., Hampton, VA 23669) from 9:00 am - 10:30 am. Please send a water bottle labeled with the camper's name and apply sunscreen before bringing them to summer camp.
Snacks and Meals
A grab-and-go style breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided at no additional cost for campers. Please note, the grab-and-go breakfast will only be available for campers arriving before 8:45 am. Should your camper have special food requirements, please provide information so they can be accommodated.
Stations
Our campers will be rotating between different stations on designated in-house days, outdoor play, crafts, and music movement. All designed to key our campers engaged all day!
Water Days
Campers should arrive ready for water activities on designated water days. This includes being dressed in their bathing suit with water-appropriate footwear and with sunscreen applied. They should bring a change of clothes, a towel, and a labeled water bottle. Water days may be at Busch Gardens, Water Country, or at an aquatic center.
Toys From Home
Campers are permitted to bring toys from home, however, toy weapons are not permitted. Water guns on specified water days are the only exception. GCA staff will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or broken toys from home.
Electronic Devices
Electronic devices are not allowed at our summer camp. GCA staff will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or broken electronic devices. We will have plenty of other activities available to keep campers busy. This is done to create an opportunity for their creative minds to flourish.
